This series is inspired by a desire to strip back perceived complications to it's most simplistic form. In this case some wild flowers in Andalucía formed the starting point to deconstruct the symmetry and perfection of the petals and form. The black lines frequently seen in my work for me form a narrative to draw the overall shapes to a coherent whole. In this series, I again explore the concept of containment and enabling the viewer to peer tWith the sizzling heat of the summer, I decided to revist a past adventure to Jordan, and the Wadi Rum expanse of vibrant orange sand and mountainous crevices casting shadows and colourful variations on the burnt umber and dusky orange surrounding me. I want the heat to pierce the artwork bringing intrigue and intensity to the viewer.hrough the lines to the image below, which is almost held in position by the randomly placed lines. The balance of colour and lines pop against the pristine white paper.
