This work is done in oil on canvas. In mixed media, a combination of the author’s technique and impasto, oil painting edges white. This work was done by the artist with the idea to show the beauty of these wonderful birds and make a person think that parrots are smart, beautiful creatures. The artist was shocked by the history of the Cuban macaw, which is now considered an extinct species. This is very sad. The painting depicts a red macaw, this is the smartest beautiful bird that looks at you and says, I’m so beautiful! Look at me! I bring joy and life itself!
