Akis Vassilopoulos lives and works in Patras. He has owned a private art gallery and studio since 1995, a place he inherited and used from his father. Many exhibitions were hosted there by both of them together that welcomed the art-loving public of Patras. He is a Member and Vice President of the Association of Patras and Achaean Artists "Kostis Palamas". He organizes solo exhibitions, participates in thematic, group exhibitions and concludes collaborations with renowned galleries and art galleries in Greece and Cyprus.As a student of the Impressionist painter George Vassilopoulos, he took painting lessons from the painter.

In 1993 he was admitted to the School of Fine Arts of ANGLIA COLLEGE OF CAMBRIDGE. In 1994 he continued his studies with a scholarship in the subject "Psychology of Children through Painting". In March 1994 he held his first solo exhibition at the LEVER HELLAS exhibition space. There he meets for the first time his future wife, Aliki. They soon got married and, as he says, ""together they created the three most beautiful works of their lives, the three most beautiful paintings, their three boys, George, Vassilis and Nikos. Since then, he has been active professionally and uninterruptedly, with continuity and consistency to this day.
