A blue bird, some hearts, a woman in contemplation - and little dots, little sparks of colour - for flowers and feelings. This image was inspired by my grandson and his passion for ornithology. I've loved learning a little about birds and sharing time with him, and even though he is only 12 years old, he creates the most marvellous paintings and tiny models. So this is an illustration of my feelings for him - but there's also an 'X' in there for a kiss - an 'X' which is contained in his beautiful unusual Mexican name, Ixca, which means Fire, but pronounced like the Gaelic for Water, Uisce. This image is also about love, birds and memories, and my love of the colour blue. One of the photographs show the painting in my sitting room to show its size in a small room. Available unframed.
