This painting was done with a very literal approach. I try to stay as true to the original image as I can. The sewer cap was moved over slightly so that it would be centered in the piece. The original was entered in a national contest held by Liquitex. They are the company that makes the paints I use. It won 2nd place and now resides in their gallery in New Jersey.
