Back in 1897 when Tate Britain opened to the public, it was a single site museum with a collection of British artworks, albeit quite small in size. Since its inception it has continued to go from strength to strength. It now has four different sites and contains 70,000 artworks from both within the United Kingdom and globally. For art lovers living or indeed visiting London it is must see on the cultural tour of London.
