Mathilde-Pia-Rose Groult has been painting since 1960 and lives in Eure, near Giverny. After studying Art(Panthéon-Sorbonne university and ERSBA Rouen), she received the 1st prize of the City of Gouttières “village des peintres” (Eure-Normandy),in 2012, and was guest of honor in 2014 for the Festival of painting and Normandy Impressionist festival.
Her technical choices go towards drawing on the motif or living model. She uses pure pigments in oil painting, pastel and watercolor, flexible drawing and bold colors. Her favourite themes are the discovery of secret and forgotten places, discrete and touching individualities, and well-kept secrets.
